Framing Carpenter / Framer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Framing Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with residential framing and a strong understanding of structural layouts, blueprints, and building codes. This role is critical to the quality and integrity of every project we build.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces, including sanding, patching, caulking, and priming
• Apply paint, stains, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
• Protect floors, fixtures, and surrounding areas during work
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Work independently or alongside other trades as needed
• Follow project timelines and quality standards
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Framer or Carpentry professional
• Strong knowledge of residential framing techniques and materials
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and framing equipment
• Physically able to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying conditions
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork mindset

Preferred (Not Required)

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience with coastal or hurricane-rated construction
• Crew leadership or lead framer experience
