Drywall Installer / Finisher

Location: Gulf county and surrounding areas

Job Type: Full-Time / Contract / 1099

Pay: Competitive – Based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Drywall Installer / Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience hanging, finishing, and repairing drywall in residential construction projects while maintaining high quality and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

  • Hang drywall on walls and ceilings (residential homes, remodels, and additions)
  • Measure, cut, and fit drywall panels accurately
  • Install corner bead, tape joints, and apply joint compound
  • Sand and finish surfaces to a smooth, paint-ready level
  • Repair damaged drywall, patches, and texture matching
  • Work from blueprints and layout plans when required
  • Ensure work meets quality standards and project timelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other trades as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Drywall Installer and/or Finisher
  • Knowledge of drywall materials, tools, and finishing techniques
  • Ability to hang, tape, mud, and sand efficiently
  • Experience with textures (knockdown, orange peel, smooth finish preferred)
  • Physically able to lift heavy materials and work overhead
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance
  • Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with residential and light commercial projects
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Ability to work independently or lead a small crew
