Framing Carpenter / Framer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Framing Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with residential framing and a strong understanding of structural layouts, blueprints, and building codes. This role is critical to the quality and integrity of every project we build.


Responsibilities

  • Frame residential structures including floors, walls, roofs, decks, and additions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and engineered materials accurately
  • Install headers, beams, trusses, joists, and sheathing
  • Ensure work complies with local building codes and safety standards
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades
  • Identify and report material or structural issues promptly


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Framer or Carpentry professional
  • Strong knowledge of residential framing techniques and materials
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and framing equipment
  • Physically able to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork mindset


Preferred (Not Required)

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience with coastal or hurricane-rated construction
  • Crew leadership or lead framer experience
